Land needed in Hempnall for new affordable housing

Hempnall Parish Council is pleased to report that the Hastoe survey has proved the need for affordable housing in Hempnall and we now need to identify land that is available for development, be it of a size to fit a single dwelling or more. If you are an interested land owner or would simply like to suggest a site please contact the Clerk.

Broadband to arrive soon

BT have now changed their policy and intend to make Broadband available to 90% of Norfolk by Summer 2005. We have confirmed with BT Broadband that this includes Hempnall.

Village Sign Repairs

Due to general wear and tear, rust and rot the village sign is currently undergoing repair thanks to the skills of Mr John Ellis and will be re-errected as soon as possible.

River Upgrade

The Environment Agency supported by the Parish Council will be upgrading the section of river that runs from the ford on Bungay Road to where it joins the existing main river behind The Street. It was proposed that this section be classed as main river as well which should ensure greater maintenance and less risk of flooding.

Members of the public and press are always welcome to attend Parish Council meetings which are held in the Nelson Room of Hempnall Village Hall at 7.30pm on the following dates: 20/07/04; 21/09/04; 16/11/04.

Copies of the full minutes of meetings can be found in Hempnall Stores and on our website www.hempnallpc.org
