HEMPNALL PARISH COUNCIL

Newsletter Summer 2005

Dog Bins

Two dog bins have been erected by the parish council, one in the village sign area and the other the village hall car park. Please direct owners to these if you witness dogs fouling the pavements.

Youth Shelter

Following two site meetings the location of the youth shelter on the playing field has been agreed and the Parish council looks forward to being able to review the planning permission application.

Parking on Pavements

After receiving several complaints about inconsiderate parking on the pavements extra traffic warden patrols are taking place - make sure you DO NOT get your ticket. The danger and inconvenience caused to pedestrians, especially people with pushchairs and the elderly is not acceptable. If you see poor parking please have a kind word with the driver and warn them of the increased chance of receiving a fine.

Streetlamps

The replacement of the dangerous streetlamps in Rowland Drive has been completed with more environmentally acceptable units.

Members of the public and press are always welcome to attend Parish Council meetings which are held in the Nelson Room of Hempnall Village Hall at 7.30pm on the following dates: 19/07/05; 20/09/05.

Copies of the full minutes of meetings can be found in Hempnall Stores and on our website www.hempnallpc.org
